Mediocre - seen much better

We lived in the "tax-credit" end of the complex for 18 months. They only advertize the newer, nicer buildings, but they put the "tax-credit" price on them. the "tax-credit" buildings were built in the 70's and haven't been upgraded since. The maintenance team is polite and punctual in emergancies, but otherwise you have to call the main office several times to get anything fixed. For example, the safety light in the breezeway on our floor went out no less than 20 times while we lived there and, no matter how many times I called in the request for repair, it was often out for weeks at a time. We had a leak in our ceiling that wasn't fixed for a week and a problem with the plumbing in the walls that wasn't fixed for two months. Also, the front door didn't close properly for the first year because they "couldn't find the parts to fix it".
The leasing staff is polite, though not terribly organized. We would often get the wrong paperwork sent to us or clean-or-move notices not meant for us. The workout room is nice, but only open during business hours. The coded entry gate has no fense around it and is only operational have the time. The rest of the time it is propped open.
Not the best place to live, especially with children, but you could do worse.
