Short and sweet. Don't live here.

I'm in the military, and as such, I can deal with the tiny, frivolous annoyances of everyday life up to a point, then I feel the need to take a stand.

For starters, I had a flea problem that went reported to the managers for about 2 weeks. I was tired of waiting for them to come spray, so I took care of it myself. Simple, yet not my responsibility. The management here tries to sound sweet, caring, and open. Honest opinion' They have the worst staff, the least capable management, and people working in the management position with only the opinion that their job is 'too stressful' when all they must do is take care of something that is brought to their attention.

Being as I can take care of most greivances on my own, I had little issues except when I actually needed to have something taken care of by the management. The staffing' Less than desireable as stated above. Now...

As to the actual apartment we live in' I live on the first floor of one of the 3 bedroom apartment complexes. Above us' College kids who anytime they walk, clean, or do anything that remotely resembles moving around, can be heard as if you were in the same room as them. Oft-times conversations could be repeated simply because it was that easy to hear them. The bathrooms' In a word, disgusting. The sinks often leaked and there was no use attempting to gain help from the management, so again, military resourcefulness comes into play and I became a minor plumbing expert. The door to the bathroom wouldn't shut because of the layers of paint they management just decided to paint over the top of and then also painted over the handles for the door, causing issues not only closing, but opening doors. This was an issue throughout the entire apartment. Being as the 3 bedroom style apartments have their own water heater, I ran out of hot water rarely, but it took hours for it to kick on and actually do the job the water heater is supposed to do. The bedrooms' Carpet tended to come up within the first 2 weeks of living there, so the corners of the room had large pieces of furniture placed there to keep the edges from flapping up whenever someone walked across the carpet. Oh yes, the part the management forgets to mention...lighting' Bring lamps. Lots of them. Your room has a light switch...that works for an outlet in a wall. It works as a light switch when you plug your own lamp in. I think there were 10 total lights in the house. 1 in each of the bathrooms, 2 in the kitchen, 1 in the laundry room, 1 in each walk in closet, 1 in the hallway, 1 in the 'pantry', and 1 in the 'dining room' with a fan overhead. That was it. The closets' There was a hole in the 'wonderful walk-in closet' at the corner that was nearest the outside of the apartment. Yes, a hole. Bugs, insects, and cold air oft-times found their way into our apartment as often as they didn't. Found a fix to that problem with some simple sealing compound, once again acquired through the military. The kitchen' Upon initial inspection it looked good, but when actually putting all of our cookwares/food/kitchen items inside the cupboards, we noticed the edges of the frames about to break off. Not that reassuring when putting a good amount of breakables in them.

As to the outside of the residence' Mold/moss growing on the stones of the building is the norm for most of this area of the state, right' I hope it is, because it covers everything from the ground up about 5 feet. The parking lots' As stated in a couple of the previous reviews, unless you want a 1/4 mile walk from your apartment, I recommend waiting until everyone goes to work, then leaving your car. And heaven help you if you have to leave about the time everyone comes home. The garbage areas' 3 that I've seen. For around 16 actual apartment complexes. I don't know how many people that includes, but if ever the trash doesn't get picked up for 3 days running' The trash bins are over flowing, and by overflowing, I mean the trash bin completely filled to the top, trash bags/boxes/other things littering the sides and sitting in front of the area, filling up some of the parking lots. And with the trash cans comes the ever present 100 stray cats running around. They would probably be the source of all the fleas in the apartments that have been reviewed.

Overall view of the place' I'd give negative points if there was a possibility. Ah well.

If you still decide to rent here' Be my guest and prepare for frustration to mount rather quickly. Otherwise, please take my advice and stay away.
