1) The carpet was NASTY. I know for a fact that it was either not cleaned or it was a poor job. I spilled water, yes, WATER, and the spot turned black. Absolutely disgusting.
2) The gate is constantly broken. The main reason I chose this was because of the "gated community" feature. Hardly the case.
3) The office staff is some of the most irresponsible group of people I've ever dealt with. They always make me feel like I'm bothering them when I go in there. Not to mention, they never know what they are talking about.
4) The maintenance requests never go through. I asked them to come fix something, and it took almost two months. The only reason it actually got done was because I called again. It's not the maintenance guys fault, it's the office who does not send the requests over.
5) The towing. I'm not even going to go into it. The company that they chose to represent them is horrible. They (KC) are in no way advocates for their residents.
6) I asked to look at the specific apartment I was moving into. Not only was I greeted rudely when I asked to see the apartment, I was denied. They claimed it wasn't ready. When I did move in, it smelled like animals and the light switches were yellow. (Smokers, I'm sure.) I specifically requested a non-smoking, non pet apartment. I have horrible allergies, and I have a 7 month old daughter. I ended up scouring the apartment when I moved in because there were "no other apartments available."

I just think it's totally overrated. It is definitely not a luxery community. I've lived in a luxery community before, and this is not. It's your basic, average apartment complex ran by your basic, average office staff.
They do require a bit of coaching when you have a problem, or concern. You kind of have to walk them through the process, haha. Time management is surely not one of their strongpoints.

Unfortunately you do NOT have a good management staff over there. They all look out for each other and work does not get done. That is a shame because that is such a nice property and now it's going to go ghetto, if it hasn't already. The previous manager had things working, she obviously KNEW how to manage a property, not just fake it and butt kiss. I wish you luck.
