I was a resident for two years in these apartments. My stay there was horrible. The walls are paper thin and it took forever to have any service requests completed. You may wonder why I am rating the apartment at this time. Well....I vacated in February of 08. At that time, I was given the option to renew my lease or go on a month to month etc... I decided not to renew and notified the management. At that time they were extremely friendly and told me that all I had to do was fill out a vacate notice and all would be fine. Once, I moved, I tried to contact the office multiple times (even some before I vacated) to set up a final walkthrough. I was never able to set a date. I was either told someone would return my call or I had to leave a message. After leaving I sent two letters giving my forwarding address and number. I inquired about my security deposit and a referral fee I was to recieve for referring a neighbor. I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM...until yesterday when I recieved a letter from a collection agency. They are now claiming that I didn't give them the proper notice (60 days) for vacating. Additionally, they are claiming that my apartment was a mess and that I had left it a wreck. I had professional cleaners come in and do the carpets and a thourough cleaning after I cleaned the apartment myself. They claimed they had to use two coats of paint because of the damage I left on the walls. All of this is UNTRUE! They are now charging me almost $1200 for the 40 something day notice I gave them after the office assured me I was fine and would not have any additional fees. I learned a big mistake there...ALWAYS GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING! Somehow now, they have tallied up a bill of 1800 AFTER they applied my security deposit and they tell me I am not entitled to my referral fee. WHAT A SCAM!
I haven't even mentioned any of the other cleanliness issues with the complex. It is the most expensive apartment complex in the area but you certainly wouldn't know it by the amenities or the services you recieve as a tenant. RENTER BEWARE!!!!

I didn't receieve a letter, either. Luckily, I knew the process and gave them our notice well in advance of the 60 days notice. I highly doubt it was made with a grudge, it's quite common with this community.
