I moved into an apartment in May 2003. My experience has been okay so far. The people that I first dealt with in actually leasing the apartment could not have been more helpful. When I moved in I was disappointed that those leasing consultants no longer worked there.

I was surprised when I actually saw the apartment. It was gorgeous and so spacious. Everything was so clean.

Maintenance and getting the office staff to do anything about it has been my biggest problem. A couple of my work orders have taken months to get accomplished. I went without light in my kitchen for about a month and upon my move in the soap dish fell off the wall and it was not replaced for quite some time. When I had ants in one of the bedrooms I could not get anyone to do anything about it...finally the cold weather came and hopefully killed all of them.

Although when it came to my heater not working they had someone out that day to come look at it. Although that is considered an emergency work order.

I am disappointed that the staff does nothing to curb mischevious behavior from the unsupervised children that roam through the property. And do little to have pet owners pick up after their pets. I was disappointed with how the parking lots and sidewalks were dealt with when it snowed. The plowing job was quite poor and the sidewalks were hardly cleared and salt was never put down. The office staff seems to have little regard for its residents. Even in May 2003 when the young man was shot and killed in his apartment, the office chose to do nothing. No notice was sent out.

I do find the staff to be courteous when it comes to dealing with them in person. And there was one girl who worked there that I really enjoyed dealing with.

Besides all of the problems I have experienced, I am happy with my apartment. Although the staff could and should get its act together.

I am really surprised and amazed with all the reviews I am reading regarding the Manor at England Run. I used to live there when they just opened the newer apartments (Phase II)which was in 1997. Everything then was nice and clean (no bugs). The office staff were great as well as the maintenance staff. If you put in a work request, it gets done that very same day, that's if you put in the request early in the morning, if not, the work gets done the very next day. It's really sad that management is not doing a good or better yet great job managing the place. It used to be a great place to live in. Obviously, things has changed a lot. It doesn't even sound like the same apartment complex I used to live in which is really sad.
