The Mark is a quiet, yet conveniently located community. Although the neighborhood is safe and looks fine on the outside, I don't feel that it is worth the amount charged for rent. The units are older, so (as noted in several other resident reviews) the insulation is poor. The gas and electric charges are incredibly high in the winter and summer, respectively. Some fluctuation is to be expected, as they are larger units but I feel that in some cases the rent should be reduced to reflect the utility cost. The units are just average with older, economy-sized appliances that break down every so often and cracked vanities and bathtubs. When a service request is placed, it takes anywhere from four days to one month for maintenance to arrive, regardless of the problem. They have never actually replaced anything that was broken, only rigged it to work just enough that you can't complain. I usually feel that management forgets about things and can be somewhat disorganized. They are nice for the most part though. They really seem like they want to try but don't really keep up on everything.
The community is very accepting of pets, which would be great if there were more pet waste disposal units. There are currently two units on opposite ends of the community which are usually surrounded by waste. I guess people think it's the "dog-walking" area not "disposal" area. About once a year management will put a notice on the doors informing residents to pick up waste but it's not enforced. Or cleaned. The only landscaping that I have seen is the flower beds at the neighborhood entrance.
Parking is great if you have a lot of visitors. No passes, no assigned spaces.
I am just giving my honest opinion. I have lived in far worse places but I don't think that the amount of rent charged is appropriate for the location and quality.

We have lived here for about 3months now, out of that 3months I have had maintenance to my house each month... When we first move in the apartment was not clean, there was cat hair everywhere, my stove was not clean and there was pee all over the bathroom floor... now I am have problems with my A/C.. Yes they come out here to fix it but it's still not cooling my house and I have a 3month old baby it's was so hot in my house the other day I call the after hours maintenance to come out and they never did, they did not call back or anything... I can say that they office staff is nice but that's about it I would not recommended this place it is overly price, your apartment is so small and the appliances are like from the early 90's I wish that we would never move in this place... I could go on and on about this place...
