We have lived here for two years. We're moving out next week. We have had some issues, sure, but overall this is not a BAD complex.
Parking is a major issue. Patroit Towing is pretty much the only company people use in this town, including this complex. They will two your car for any tiny little infraction. They are SUPPOSED to give a 24 hour notice before they tow your car, however they never have. Our neighbors have all had thier cars towed severl times apiece, and so have we. Visitors MUST park in a visitors space as well. (and there aren't a whole lot of them) Parking is the worst of the issues we have encountered.
Our neighbors are all wonderful people. We don't have a single college student living in our building. The building next to ours doesn't either, nor the one next to that one. We haven't had any issues with noise. The buildings are concrete and steel construction, and they are pretty well insulated from noise.
There are ample sidewalks and open places for kids to walk and run and play. The grounds are attractive. The pool is on the large side.
We have never gotten a key to the exersize room, however.
Maintanience has ALWAYS been prompt and professional for us. Sure, they don't always wipre thier feet, but they fix the problems. And they do so in a timely manner. And if they do not, management will take the number of days off your rent that they didn't fix it.
All of the issues we have had, we have had to call the Aimco corprate office to get resolved, but as soon as we did, they were resolved with no problems. No hard feelings, no retaliation of any sort.
You know, you get what you pay for. If you want luxury apartments, this is not it. If you want perfection, don't rent here. If you don't mind a few snarls every now and then for an extremely affordable apartment, give it a try.
