This is the nicest place to live int he Gainesville area for sure! Very friendly staff and beautiful setting too boot! I have lived here for only 4 months but I tell everyone looking in this area to come here. I absolutely love the lay out of the apartments. I feel very safe here - even though the gate is not working yet-becuase of the type of residents that reside here. I see many police officers living here and mostly younger families and a few professionals as well. Not sure what the old gripe about rude office personnel is about becuase I have never had any issues with John or Julie. In fact, when I first moved in I must have called a dozen times or so with questions about differnt things and never once was I made to feel like I was bothering them. I am always greeted with a smile and a hello from the maintencane guy too! Would I recommend' You bet!

I am sure you work here, lol! Somerhill is awful with the worst staff ever. JULIE AND JOHN ARE RUDE. When we first came to view an apartment JULIE was talking badly of one of the renters! Julie said the gate would be working in a few weeks the day we signed the lease...and it did not work the entire year we were there. The neighborhood gets loud at night and many units have around 10 people living in just one. Julie and John also tell us different things, neither of them know the operating rules of somerhill farms. They should really get on the same page. The maintenance man is lovely though. The best part about Somerhill is him.

I am flabbergasted that anyone would have a poor experience with Julie. John- no doubt! He is always rude, but Julie, no way! I have popped in to just say hello and see her juggling many things at once and never have I seen her flustered or rude. You must have been having a bad day or something. The word around Somerhill Farms is that Julie is the one to see as she is most helpful, not condescending like John and actually seems to care about all of us. Gordon is amazing! The owner should make sure he does everything to keep Julie and Gordon since they are the ones who seem to care the most and treat everyone with respect. As far as noise goies: I have had a few instances concerning noise but again, remember this is apartment living. If you want it to be completely quiet than move to the mountains and stop your whining.
