My family and I moved into this community in Dec of 07 and have had nothing but problems. To began, we first applied in July of 07 to move in and heard nothing until Sept. Then we were told that we could move in at the end of Oct, well 2 weeks before our move in date, they apparently gave our apartment to someone else, then when we asked for our security deposit back we were told it would take weeks, so we stuck it out and finally were given a new date of Dec 12, which was a Monday. So thursday evening we started to make the arrangements to move in. TIFFANY the manager said that we could sign our lease that saturday so we could start moving in, so we show up and were told by her that we would have to come back sunday, so we did. Tiffany never showed up. The hours are posted out front Open Sunday 1pm - 5pm. Well no tiffany. Monday morning comes, i rent our uhaul truck, put all of our belongings in and arrive at at somerset around 830 am. Well as soon as they open up-
Tiffany tells us that our application, that was turned almost 5 months ago was DENIED and that we couldn't move in!!!!!!!!!!!! Now kept in mind I have moved out of our old place, have all of our belongings in a uhaul, a 5 yr old son, and a 5 month baby, and my wife outside and they are telling me we can't move in. To make a long story short it took from 9am until 7:30 that evening for them to fix their mistake!!! All while my family was waiting in the office. So we finally settled in at about 11 pm that night. Unbeliveable huh'' Well, theres more. Since living here we have gotten a late payment notice each month. Saying that either our rent payment was late or that we were short. Well since my wife, being the darling that she is, saves each recipt and money order statement that we give the office. Never have we been late. But sommerset thinks we are. This apartment community is horrible. I can not wait until our lease is up. i will never recommend living here. The walls are very thin, you can hear everyting coming from the other apartments around you. The maintance staff sucks, can't do any repairs right. The office never answers the phone. If you have a question you have to go there. They never call you back. After reading the other reviews about how awlful this place is, i just had to tell my story. This is the worst living experience I have ever had in my live. Sommerset is truley a bad place to live. The management is really bad. g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd

Im so sorry you had this horrible experiance. My husband and I had major problems moving in also, though they moved us in on a Sunday, they cant seem to get there story straight in that office. Oh and Tiffany, yeah, watch out for her, she has screwed us and im sure many other people over. She is very dishonest and will do her best to make everything difficult for you. She tried to tell us that we didnt hand in our move out notice (my husband handed it directly to her and she knews] who we were, so its not like she just didnt remember) but thankfully another women in the office saw my husband hand it to her and spoke up (mind you they either LOST the paper, as usual, or Tiffany just threw it away to make it seem like we really didnt hand it in), making Tiffany look like an idiot, HA! Well I hope you can get out of there soon and find something better, we did. Good luck!
