Overall, I do not recommend Carriage Homes at Wyndham. Here is a list of pros and cons.
PROS
* Convenient to West End, major highways
* Part of the Wyndham area (for those interested in the "prestige" of a name)
* Many units include a one-car garage and garage opener
* Units with 2 bedrooms are townhouse style
* Large garden tub in Master bathroom
* Adequate storage space in garage
CONS
* Not enough parking in community (many residents park in fire lanes or in front of other people's driveways, and office staff rarely tows or puts warnings on these vehicles despite repeated calls to office)
* Walls are very thin - easy to hear what neighbors are doing
* Packages - they kept some of our FedEx packages in their office for 3 months without telling us, and then claimed that they didn't have them. We tracked down the person who signed it, and she magically remembered our package and "found" it in the office
* Move out procedures not detailed
* Cleaning fees were outrageous - they charged us hundreds and hundreds
* Office staff rarely returns calls
* Leaky faucets. We complained several times, but faucets still leaked.

SHOULD OF KEPT YOUR HOME A LITTLE CLEANER, IS THIS WHY YOUR DOGGIN THEM? YOU WERE CHARGED FOR LIVING IN FILTH?

Wow, that was an incredibly rude comment - are you the community manager? Our apartment was always spotless, and we cleaned the entire place from top to bottom for an entire weekend. Yet, we were charged for things that were there before we moved in.

It is not the job of the office to hold your packages, they do it as a COURTESY for when YOU are not home, other wise FedEx would leave it outside your apt and it could be stolen, or they just wouldnt leave it, thats always an option you can take.
