Moving into the Carriage Homes at Wyndham was a huge disappointment. The apartment was in poor shape at best when I moved in with cracks in the walls, stains and miss matched paint on the walls where they tried to cover up nail holes, doors that stuck or didn't close properly, dirty floor trim, the list goes on and on. In addition, the air conditioning system does not work on all floors evenly. The first floor has to be freezing if you want the upstairs bedroom to be cool enough to sleep in and if you want the living room to be a comfortable temperature the upstairs bedroom is a sauna. In the common areas, the fitness room is an accident waiting to happen. Half of the weight equipment is wobbly and unsafe to use and 2 out of the 3 stair steppers didn't work and 1 out of the 3 treadmills doesn't work either. To top it off, the Office Manager, -----, is a ----- disguised as a human and should be avoided at all costs. I have never run into a more unpleasent person. Of coarse you don't realize this until you have a complaint and need something fixed. The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors carry on a conversation. I can even hear the guy next door turn over in bed when his bed squeeks. The neighborhood of Wyndham is beautiful and very peaceful but the apartments are dated and falling apart - don't let the upgraded kitchens and bathrooms fool you. These aprtments are not worth the high cost of living here. And did I mention, the Office Manager is wicked. Believe me, you'll have to deal with her as several things are bound to go wrong when you live there and that is when, you too, will learn how unpleasent she is. My recommendation is to stay away from this place and check out the new apartments on Broad Street across from Target. They're new, nice, and about the same price with a nice management staff. I will ne leaving as soon as my lease is up.
