Can someone please tell me the definition of RE-LO-CA-TING' Well, I'm relocating to VA and wanted to rent here. Do you think I received any assistance from the --- -----------' NO. One even asked if I had a friend to bring in the money to hold the apt. Uhhhmm. I'm relocating to allow my son to attend a prestigious school. We have no friends in VA. SO,I agreed to overnight the reservation fee, since it couldn't be paid online or over the telephone. The ---------------- said she would fax me the application (it's Sunday afternoon, they closed at 5)---she never faxed it. The next morning I call to inquire about the fax; they agreed to fax it again. UNTIL, she realized that the apt. was already leased. What the heck!!!! A fairy godmother must have opened the office after hours and leased the apt. And to make it worse, I was going to rent a --- bedroom for $769; but since it was gone my only option was to pay $845 for the same apt. I'm so pissed off!! Usually, when a future tenant is RELOCATING, you go above and beyond to assist. But the only assistance I received were the first three LETTERS!!!! But that's fine. Because I'm going across the STREET!!!!! The Champions Club Apartments SUCK!!!!

You wouldn't have wanted Champions Club anyways. When you move in they won't let you pick up the keys until about 4pm. I relocated from another state and told them I would be driving into town around 11am. I got there and they refused to hand over the keys so me, my mom and my cat had to drive around an unfamiliar area for 5 hours before they let me have the keys. Plus there is a ton of mold, maintenance doesn't fix anything, the windows leak (or flood in my case) and there are tons of bugs. I ended up meeting another resident and we had to get a lawyer to get them to terminate our lease because of all the issues we had. That process was also a pain trying to deal with corporate offices. Took almost 2 months and a lot of pictures and documentation to prove we had grounds to have our lease terminated. Your best best is to find a really nice place and go with it even if it is $100 more. I looked and there is nothing good in that area.
