We just had to get out of there!!!!!!!
Whenever it rained our second room windows & walls would leak to the point that I have numerous pictures of the paint bubbling to the size of a softball. We would call them or go by the office every time & all they did was have us move the things out of the room so they could pull back the carpet & change out the padding & spray some KILLZ around the effective area. That is it mold grew & I kept the photo where I was looking out the window one day & growing out of the wall was a nice size mushroom type thing. We were given a # to some head person named Kim & never received a call back. As the year went by other windows started to leak but according to them it was condensation.

We also had to call on our neighbors a lot & we were assured when we signed our lease that it would be taken care of promptly. The process is that we should call them & they have an on site after hours investigator that will go & talk to the noise makers. YEAH RIGHT! What we got was some answering service in Georgia I believe that just took the message & told us to call the police.

I was so looking forward to living here because I love the kitchen and how it was so close to all my favorite stores. I was not please with the Greens of Virgina Center across the street since it is for low income people & they constantly are coming through the complex. Also the stray cats are absolutely a nightmare they make there way to you balcony & lay on your furniture which we had to throw away since my husband is allergic. Be Aware of the playgrounds which are just a big kitty litter box.

I hate the fact that I came home to having a couple of painters on my balcony & the roof being patched without notice. With a big pile of wood in front of it.

Regarding parking where we were it was so bad that people did park in the handicap & all along the side of the mailbox. It was 3 apartments in a little area. If you turned the corner there was always empty spaces, but who wants to park that far with groceries or having to be to work at 6:30'

To top it off they sent us a letter reminding us of that are lease was almost up & were increasing it & we needed to be out by noon on our check out day-- I don't think so I paid for a whole day! Plus we could never have guest sleep in the second room because of the mold. Seriously I lived in some apartments in the not so good neighborhoods that were not as horrible & poorly run as the Legends at Virginia Center. Please take my advice look some where else if you value your health, sleep & sanity

hi. i was very horrified to learn of your experiences at the legends at virginia center! my family and i have a expected move in date of 6/11/07. if its okay to ask, was it just your apartment that had these issues or do you know of anyone else that had them? would you be comfortable of saying what apartment #? if you feel more comfortable please email me at K2_L1@yahoo.com thx

We had the same issues, and the obvious lack of response from managment was very evident. Another point to ponder, they never ensure people clean up after there pets so if you have kids the sanitation issues from playing outside are not that great either. Apparently the mold and water leaks, sorry condensation, is an issue you are expected to deal with and its your own fault. Not a place I would recommend to anyone not even an enemy.

We too had the exact same issue with he water pouring in when it was raining. It was not condensation, this created puddles on the carpet and stains. Yet management litterally told me there was nothing they could do. All they had to do was caulk the windows, really how hard would that have been to do?

Low income people don't have the freedom to walk around? How do you know they don't have relatives there? You're an a**hole!
