I have lived here for over 2 years, and what nobody seems to realize, is that we RENT!! We don't own a own homes that we live in. We choose to live under a roof that someone else owns. There are so many unsafe neighborhoods and complexes in the Richmond area, I feel blessed that I can afford to live somewhere as safe as the Legends. Crime is EVERYWHERE! Unfortunately, society has come to that, but if we thought twice, and didn't leave our doors unlocked when we leave... then our things would be there when we return. Blaming the Legends, management, or the area for our own negligence is just stupid. The location is fantastic, its convenient to all major interstates, and shopping. Unless you live in a brand new home or apartment, there will be maintenance issues. If you lived in a home your air conditioner can still go out, your toilet will still clog. Luckily we have a maintenance staff that helps in a timely manner. Sometimes it takes a little while, but if it's 95 degrees outside and someone's AC is out, then a leaky window might have to wait a few hours. As for noise, WE LIVE IN AN APARTMENT BUILDING!!!!!! Of course there'll be noise!! If you wanted to live somewhere where its completely silent, go move onto a farm somewhere, because it won't happen in an aparment. I have been nothing but happy living at the Legends. I can't seem to understand how people get so upset about things that are inevitable in an apartment community. The management is always respectful and understanding. In my experience they listen to us, they put in a pet waste area that several of us have been asking for. In 2 years I've only seen one "soliciter" on property and it was a kid selling candy bars for a school team. I've lived in multiple apartment buildings in many cities and states, I have been happiest with the Legends. Yes, the speeding is an issue that I would like to see something done about, but all in all, I give Legends a 9 out of 10!

It's nice to see people were happy with this place. We are not as happy. This apartment is really small for a 2 bed 2 bath as compared to others in this price range. The master bedroom fits a queen size bed and basicly nothing else. I've had other apartments that I can easily fit two large chairs couch and entertainment center in the living room, not this place, I had to put the couch in storage. Yes, this place is noisy, for the price I expected more insulation between the apartments to reduce the noise levels. I've been in other nice apartments that I could not hear neighbors above, below or next to me because of the proper amount of insulation. This place doesn't have it, we hear too much of the neighbors stereo's, tv's and talking. Yes, there were police living here, didn't deter the crime issues though. Materials are cheap in the kitchen and bathrooms. People are paying more than what they are getting. Oh, and yes the windows leak, not just a little, but alot when it's raining very hard against the windows.
