We chose to live here to be close to Innsbrook, where my husband and I worked. It's nice, but there are other places that have the same ammenities and charge less. The Gardens tries to get away with charging more because of the proximity to the Twin Hickory neighborhood.
If you have a pet--don't be sold on the dog park. It was rarely maintained, and we met couples who had their dogs bitten by snakes! (I saw 3 or 4 snakes in my year there as well.) When they built the complex, they didn't properly drain the swamp in the back, so the grassy areas are very wet and attract creepy-crawlies.
We were also charged some ridiculous move-out fees. I didn't realize that we could fight them, or we would have.
For the amount of rent we paid, I would have appreciated granite countertops, higher-end appliances, thicker walls, and nicer cabinetry. I understand it's an apartment...but you could get something just as nice for the same money elsewhere.

They didn't "properly drain the swamp" because it's Federally protected wetlands and it would have been illegal, same with removing all the trees where the snakes come from.
