I've lived at this complex for 3 years now and after reading some of the reviews, there is merit to the concerns I can relate to. When I first moved in here, the management was wonderful and the residents were none to be concerned about. The standards were set high for salary required to rent. Since new management has taken over residents have moved in, whom have no concern for driving fast through the parking lots or blaring music as they breeze through here. My hot water heater was replaced when it busted, but was replaced with a much smaller one...so in the winter, the hot water does not stay on long. In the summer, I can take a tub bath, but that may not be a water heater problem. The cost is not comparative to the sq. feet and the 1 bedrooms are really really small. Good if you don't like a big place to clean though!

On a positive note...the office staff has been very respectful and responsive to my concerns, the maintenance staff are really wonderful and also very responsive. They respond same day or next day and some have been here so long, they are permanent fixtures that wave to you every time you drive by (very friendly). I think this apartment complex is in the process of making improvements by sending out survey letters to it's residents...that shows care and concern. The pool is one of the nicest areas in the summer, mostly so because there are not swarms of people at it and you can really relax there. Being a single female and naturally paranoid, I do feel fairly safe here. Finally, the landscaping here is phenomenal and really makes the area looks well kept.

If someone was interested in living in Hampton, this is the only apartment complex I would recommend.
