Frustrated @ Falcon Creek

I was very excited to move into my Falcon Creek Apartment! I remain impressed with the overall appearance of the community and the space I have in my apartment. There is lots of closet/storage space. I also enjoy the garden-style tub in the master bathroom and the spacious rooms. However, there are several other items about which I am frustrated.
As mentioned in a previous reviews, Cox Cable is not available in the community. Their alternative is NOT comparible at all. The internet connections are SLOW and the channel selection leaves much to be desired. I miss my Cox Cable. The light fixtures in the bathrooms and in the dining room area blink annoyingly when turned on. (During a recent visit, a friend mentioned that she hopes none of my guests have a seizure disorder.)
I am also quite disappointed with the lack of sound insulation in the apartments. I feel uncomfortable about unintentionally eavesdropping on my neighbors, and I struggle to remain quiet enough so as not to disturb them. There is little cabinet space (for a real cook, anyway) in the kitchen, which surprises me considering the effort toward creating lots of storage in other areas (big closets, storage room, etc.). The brochure I received when I moved in said that I would have a self-cleaning oven. Um, no.
My most recent frustration has to do with the additional construction that has just started. We received no notice that there were plans to build two more buildings. I actually had to ask one of the construction workers what was going on when I noticed people surveying, etc. The first notice of any kind I received informed me that my water would be turned off for a day. This past Saturday morning, I was awakened by heavy equipment before 8:00 a.m.
While there are many things I truly love about my Falcon Creek apt., I cannot help but feel frustrated about all of these difficulties. I do not at all believe this community lives up to what they promise, and it's not worth the price!

I know how you feel! I was very frustrated to hear about 2 new buildings going in... why not actually come close to filling the space you do have before adding 2 more buildings? And shouldnt we get a discount for dealing with the construction?????I live in the building right across from the work and im not happy to hear the work every frigging morning, and on the weekends!!!!
The sound insulation is HORRIBLE. My neighbor talks pretty loud on her phone every night around 10pm and puts it on speaker, we can hear EVERY words both people are saying! It drives me INSANE. Not to mention about 85% of the community has dogs but I think only about 15% of them pick up after them. Which isnt the apartments faults, they even have baggies and trash cans outside for residents, but people are so damn lazy.

I'd much prefer hearing someone talk on the phone to what I was hearing! (That may have been me on the phone and, if so, I'm sorry.) Bottom line, the other people didn't have to even get loud. Normal conversation or television without the volume turned up could EASILY be heard right through the walls. I was VERY glad to leave. The construction outside of my window (I also lived right across) was the final straw!
