it seems you have to spend a little money to not end up in the ghetto in hampton, which is how we ended up paying almost $800 for a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment. when we first moved in it seemed like everything was breaking down, but maintenance does come by and fix it pretty quickly. the sliding door that covers the washer and dryer has not ever been fixed the entire time we've been here. you don't hear much from the neighbors next to you through your walls, but make sure you don't live on the 1st or 2nd floor because you will hear the neighbors who live above you. we live on the 2nd floor and can hear the dog that lives upstairs running back and forth. he's little, but you'd think he was a german shephard! talk about ANNOYING!!! the neighbors are fairly nice, if you have a problem you can usually talk to them instead of going to the office. other than the apartments being small for what you're paying, the apartments themselves are ok, and maintenance and staff are nice, it's mostly the neighbors and the people who visit them that you'll have to put up with. sometimes they like to talk loud in the parking lot when you're trying to sleep and that's not cool! these apartments are ok to live in if you're willing to put out the money for it. if you live with someone you'll need to learn how not to be on the same bathroom schedule with one bathroom! one of the other reviewers brought up a good point about being shown the model for the apartments. i can't remember if it's bigger than what we have now, but we were told that it'd be the same size just on the other side. i want to say that the model was slightly bigger than what we ended up getting, but can't be too sure. MAKE SURE YOU ARE SHOWN THE APARTMENT THAT YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE IN - INSIST ON IT IF THEY SAY NO BECAUSE OF ONE THING OR ANOTHER!!!
