I am on the Auburn lane side. parking near your building can be a problem at times... the residents don't seem to care about previous tenets mail and just leave it on the mailbox to blow away. the wooden stairs are right up against the apartments so you hear your neighbors come up and down the steps. for a place built around 1982 there are some things that need repair, like cleaning the gutters and some general maintenance. overall i've been very pleased... i'm in a middle floor so i have people above and below me, i can hear upstairs walking, downstairs i can smell when he smokes (in his apt ewww) but as far as apartment life goes i'm happy here thus far. i do feel safe but then again i do things to aide in that. i don't go out that much when it's dark and don't go out when i can hear a ton of traffic ( i have a neurotic dog) everyone i've spoken to has been nice but pretty much keep to themselves... the rent is reasonable for this area (where all rent is way too high). the office manager is very nice. sure there is trash and sometimes parties on the weekends. but it's the weekend and a lot that live here are HU students or military... what do you expect' it's not so much that the place it's self is trashy it's that people need to be responsible for themselves and most here are. let's face it you can pick your friends, you can't really pick your neighbors... i feel like i got lucky... maybe i'll change my mind when new people move in.

Yes sounds like you got lucky . I have have been around for 2 years and will be leaving as soon as I can . It is ok if you are not used to better I guess. The noise from bass in the cars at all hours of any random night , poor lighting in the parking lot , nice but unprofessional unorganized office staff , inadequate parking , poor mantience staff are just a few of my compliants . Yes very true mucch of this complex is HU students and military and I kind guess I expected them to behave just anyone who cares about the place they live would. Dont make me listen to your bass just because you like it at 3am.. I mean come on people! Granted , have been here longer and came from a apt that was similar price with much better living conditions so my expectations could be too high.
