I took my 38 weeks pregnant wife and daughter swimming a few days ago. when we entered the pool area we were rudely greeted by a guy named Mark who (while proudly wearing a lip pearcing) proceeded to tell us of the dangers of heat stress and heat injuries from staying in the sun. While the info was good but common knowledge, the worse part was that he was smoking a cigarette and blowing in our direction. His consitant and frequent use of the "F" word around my 2 year old daughter was completley unprofessional, and he was paying more attention to his girlfriend sitting next to him and trying to throw her in the pool than he was the residents swimming. The bad part of all this, is that he is always like this. Mark is not condusice to a family enviroment and it would be a complete farce to allow him to work at heather lake apartments any further. I complained to the office about him and they laughed and said yeah, thats mark for ya! I dont understand why thia was funny!

That life guard is such an a--!! my first time at the pool he was rude to my 9 yr old, and I had to put him in his place. My second visit he basically told me that he didn't want to have to keep an eye on my two kids. WTF!! Isn't that the job of a life guard to watch the swimmers and make sure they are safe?? I think Mark needs to find a new career path.

lifeguards are not your babysitters at the pool, YOU are responsible for your own children, no matter where they are-- that's parenting 101- all too often lately we see children running around without their parents minding them; the pool is not summer camp so don't expect to visit the pool and think other people will watch your children
-i've seen people bring their kids into the pool, then go lay out on a chaise and close their eyes and never watch their kids
as for the 38 week pregnant woman--we had some intense heat this summer--extreme heat causes dehydration, premature contractions, early labor, fetal distress-sounds like the lifeguard was trying to be your advocate/ if, as you say, the info was good but common knowledge, how come you didn't know enough to stay out of the heat? what does the lip piercing have to do with anything? i agree with complaints about foul language, that should be curbed-- by the way, i know that lifeguard saved someone's life--pulled a person out of the water who was having a heart attack, did cpr and saved this person's life\ not bad for a kid's summer job
