I've been here 2 years...

I still live at Kensington Square, but not for long. I think Craig does her job mediocre at best. Here's some reasons why I wouldn't recommend Kensington Square:

1. I've had several unanswered maintenance requests.
2. When maintenance does come, they do a very poor job, though I see there may be a new crew now.
3. There is some very questionable new tenants that are now allowed in and the place feels very unsafe. I've already called the Police on a few occasions.
4. It's a noisy place to live. Tenants are allowed to blare their car stereos at free will it seems without any regard for their neighbors.
5. Rent is too high. I expected rent to raise after the first year, but not at the amount I expected. I was also charged a late fee when my rent raised because they failed to notify me that my rent had raised. Craig claimed they left a note on my door, but I never saw one.
6. Huge cockroach problem that is blamed on a past group(verified by management)that was evicted in mass. When I called about the problem, they sent maintenance over with some white powder, which was haphazardly spread throughout the kitchen area. When I called again, I was told any future problems would be up to me and I should bomb the apartment.
7. Poor outside lighting or broken lights in hallways.
8. Landscaping...what landscaping' I've been here 2 years and all I have is dirt in front of my patio. They spend around 2 hours pulling weeds every year, but I still have no wood chips even though the area is being prepared for them. Other tenants get wood chips every year.

To sum up, I would never recommend living at Kensington Square Apartments. I'm anxious for my rent to be up this Fall. I've rented several times in the past, and by far, this has been the most unpleasant experience thus far.
