My family decided to live in KS for a year when we first moved to Hampton and were looking for a house to buy. We liked it because it was very residential, and we felt our child would have at least some place to run around. The "playground" is pretty nasty. The yard was not kept up very well, and there were leaves everywhere, but it was the best we could do, especially since we have cats and had trouble finding a place that would take pets. But at least there was a lot of outdoors and space between rows of buildings.

The apartments are newly remodeled but with the cheapest materials known to man. The carpets are terrible and get stained very easily. Everything in the apartments/townhomes are cheap, cheap, cheap. That was the main problem we had while we were living there is that stuff just seemed to fall apart.

The pool was clean, well maintained, and they had a lifeguard there all the summer of 2007. We enjoyed that a lot.

The parking was not too bad. Yes, at night it would sometimes be crowded, but you could always find a space--just might have to walk a bit. I have rented a lot, and I didn't think it was that bad. No real way to make it better without assigned spaces.

The maintenance guys were very nice and fixed a minor problem that I told them about immediately.

There was one tenant I sometimes wondered if he might be involved in something illegal, but overall, the place seemed safe, and I went for frequent walks around the complex alone (I am female) and never felt unsafe.

The WORST part of my experience was moving out under the new manager who started in the spring of 2008. The woman was/is absolutely psycho. The rudest person I have ever met. And I am not the only one who thought so. Unless the management changes, I strongly recommend finding a different place. The manager who was there when we moved in may not have been the best, but at least he was polite.

I am so happy to have bought a home! No more renting!

where to start. this is the worst place i have ever live. the bugs are so bad that i cant turn my light off at night or my floor with be covered. Brandi doesnt know how to run an office and is EXTREMLY RUDE. They will try and charge you for everyhing and anything. They will enter your house without you know while you are out of town. The pool is never opened and if it is you are charged to being friends. we have lived here for over a yr now and are trying to find somewhre else to live that will allow are dog. The only way to get anything done around here is if you are friends with Bradi i personly know for 4 people that she didnt make give a 60 day noticed and said that they had recived new orders when in fact they had brough a house.
