Horrible Management ---MILITARY STAY AWAY---

----MILITARY STAY AWAY---When you first drive in it LOOKS nice. Then you meet the manager who is extremely unprofessional, you realize they take weeks to get maintenance done, and they always do it half way and end up having to do it again. Parking has always been a nightmare. The washers and dryers are in horrible shape and there is no room for a full sized. You have to dry everything three times and then foot the bill for electricity so add about $50 to your current electric bill and that's what you'll pay here for drying every load 3 times. The pool doesn't open until 4 in the afternoon because the staff is too lazy to man it. The hot tub is always around 80 degrees and has insects in it, the chemicals are not balanced so you will probably get an infection. This place needs a health inspector to come through and shut it down... quick. The manager is always swearing about the military and saying she hates military people she swears regularly, she will do anything and everything to make your stay horrible if you are serving your country.

I am glad that neither one of you two have had problems but I agree with the person who posted this comment. Me and my husband only lived here for a year and it was when we first moved to VA. It was not a good impression. It took maintenance 6 months to fix our water heater; finally we were able to take longer than 5 minute luke warm showers. They also messed up our rent every month. We were military and the housing department paid it through the set aside program each month. The landlords kept telling us to go tell the Air Force to stop messing up and give them their money. Ya right, after 6 months the admitted it was their fault but refused to reimburse us for the extra money paid to get them off our back. They messed up the dates on our lease and the stupid, ----------- landlord told me to stop bothering her and learn to read so i wouldn't be confused anymore. I swear i almost stooped to her level one day and punched her. We did not resign our lease and I have helped spread the word about how horrible of a place Kensington is and how ignorant the landlord was.

I am also a resident of Kensington Square since 2007 and I must disagree on several points.
1. Maintenance has always responded very promptly and corrected the problem. (I did have some issues with them leaving dirt but this has been corrected.)
2. There are always plenty of parking spaces and management has taken measures to ensure that only residents and over night guests are utilizing spaces.
3. You knew the size of the washers and dryers when you viewed the model apartment, yes they are not full size but work fine.
4. The hot tub is maintained on a regular basis, I believe the temperature is lower due to summer weather. I might like it warmer myself but I have not asked management.

I, too, am a resident of Kensington Square. I have lived here for four years. Every time I've had a problem, they've come right over and fixed it quickly. I've never had a problem with parking. AND, I was concerned at first about the pool hours, but if you had bothered to READ the pool hours, that 4 opening was only until school was out. It now opens around 11.
