When we first got to VA and started apartment hunting, we saw a lot of pretty crappy places that smelled and that were in bad areas, after seeing over 30 apartments we were thrilled to have found this one, it was in a decent area, apartments are spacious, clean and up to date, and the staff seems very friendly, although now I have concluded that the staff is clueless, doesn't resolve disputes, and dresses very....
sugestively and unprofessional, the girls are very "flirty", gross.(not all the girls, just 2 in particular)A few are nice, but clueless.
Anyway we moved in and soon relalized that the building materials used are cheap and very poorly done, especially the "paint"! If you rub up against it the wrong way it just rubs right off! Cold air gets in through the windows VERY easily and you have to run the heater often.
The staff often seems clueless and if you have a problem with neighbors being too loud ( yelling outside the POORLY insulated windows at 3 in the morning for hours and waking up your baby REPEATEDLY) forget getting them to make it stop, you just write a complaint again and again.
That's the way anything is resolved around here.
It's a joke! And the carpet was new when we moved in, after a few weeks you could CLEARLY smell cat urine!!! Its discusting! Obviously a cat had peed all over the old carpet, thus the reason they replaced it and either they were too cheap to replace the padding as well, or it had seeped into the wood, I don't know but you can smell the pee constantly.
That said, it isn't all that bad considering some of the places we've looked at! THANKFULLY we are moving SOON! :) yea, but I wouldn't reccomend this to anyone wanting help with their problems, sleep at night or a pee-free enviornment! Oh and when the pool is open the LAZY lifeguards just sit around reading magazines while things float around in the DIRTY, unkept pool, is it too much to ask the blob to get up and scoop a few bugs out once in a while' Seriously, lazy staff.:p

The lifeguard is contracted, and if you complained to one of the staff members, they wouuld report it to the contracting agency and that lifeguard will be replaced. I sure did it with one of the lifeguards who didn't have any concern for the residents, never saw her again after my complaint.
