I have been living here almost two years now. When I moved in the apartment was nice and quiet for the most part and I always kept to myself. I was raised not to go out at night unless with a guy and never alone. I never talked to anyone so my neighbors were strangers. I had a man living next to me that beat his girlfriend, I could hear her crying through the walls occasionally and made it a point to call the police. He soon moved out. These past 3months have been a living NIGHTMARE here though, worst of all. I hear GUNSHOTS even during the day. It's NOT SAFE to walk around at night and one early morning I was getting up to pick my husband up at port after a 2month cruise and I saw an old guy about 60 walking around in his boxers and shirt in the middle of the road. He looked very confused and disorientated, I believe he was sleep walking although I didn't stop to Ask him!! I have a guy living next to me who has bragged to me about tying up his girlfriend with a chain because she'd lie and say she going to the store and stay gone for days until he caught her again. HE STUCK A BALL & CHAIN ON HER LEG!!! AND HE WAS BRAGGING ABOUT IT!!! NO JOKE! After speaking to the psycho and hoping he wouldn't put a knife to me as I was walking away I went inside and locked all my doors. Also in the past 3months there has been over 12!!! Break-ins!!! The locks on the doors are shoddy and the only thing preventing someone from breaking in is the dead locks on the doors. I just had a wonderful woman move next door to me right before all this started happening. I told her it was a good place to live!!!! That was before the psycho and before the break-ins and the gunshots. I've never lived in a place more dangerous in my life. It looks beautiful until you live here. My Apartment has quite a few things wrong with it but maintenance is Usually attentive and I have to say the office is generally very nice.
It was REALLY wonderful when I first moved here. Nice place. Quiet. Beautiful. On the outskirts of a upscale neighborhood. But like I said. It's ALL gone horribly wrong. I don't feel safe and I'm scared at night when I'm by myself that someone will break in and I won't even have a weapon to defend myself. I DO NOT SUGGEST ANYONE MOVE IN HERE!!!!!! I Am In the Process of Moving.

I absolutely agree. I lived there for almost two years as well and my neighbors were awful! One in particular was an older woman who was trying to recapture her youth and would play loud music, and would be loud talking late at night and early in the morning. She thought she was at a club somewhere and had no consideration for anyone else. When I complained I was basically told that if no other tenants complained then there was nothing that they would do about it. So my husband and I paid our rent every month for two years and lived in hell. Also be careful when you move in that you document on your move in list any flaw or marks you see no matter how small because if you don't they will try to find a way to keep some or all of your deposit money. We were blamed for scratches on the counter top that I'm sure were there before we moved in, but I took for granted that they knew about it and didn't put it on our move in list. Big Mistake! We also heard gunshots often and two of our neighbors' apartments were burglarized. The office staff were often nice-nasty unless you were coming to look at an apartment and were a potential tenant. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!
