When I moved into my townhome in Northampton Village, on Friendly Drive (ironic street name I later learned), everything seemed fine. Sure the overall condition of the building wasn't top notch but I hadn't expected it to be, as it was obviously and older building. But after living there a few months and dealing with NOISE, NOISE, NOISE, death threats from a neighbor whose car I had towed from my assigned parking spot, police frequently visiting my block, gunshots, appliances constantly breaking down and RANDOM FLOODING OF MY HOME, slow/ineffective maintenance staff (I had a large crack in my back door when i moved in. When I reported it, maintenance came to 'fix' it by PAINTING OVER IT so it was less visible!!!), lease office staff who repeatedly brushed aside serious complaints, and neighbors who claimed to be "DJs" and acted as though it was my duty to just take it when they blasted their music (with extremely high bass) ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT. I called the police several times, as well as the leasing office. Did anything happen' Nope. Other than me moving out to stay with my mother until my lease runs out. I have also heard from friends of mine who have already moved out of Northampton Village that the managment will not return your security deposit no matter how immaculate your apartment/townhome is, making up some bogus reason why they need to keep it, and that in general they try to screw you with bills when you move out.
I will be sure to keep you posted if they try to pull the same thing on me.

The other day i decided to take my family and attend the pool party which was on held on Saturday July 18, 2009. They advertised games and food and music. There were NO games and they music was on for only an hour!!!! They made 2 packets of hotdogs that had flies all over them but wait this this is the kicker. The lease office staff stayed in the pool room the whole entire time and did not come out to greet the tenants. at one time we saw a guy come out of the pool house to put chicken and ribs on the grill, my son went and asked if he could have some food, the man said no that it was only of the leasing staff in the pool house. i can't wait to get out of this place. i might as well live in the projects to expect this kind of service.
