I am amazed at these good reviews...

Obviously, most good reviews were written by the Spinnaker Cove managemenent or staff themselves. To put it bluntly Spinnaker Cove Apartments is disappointing on so many levels, maintenance being at the very top. First let me explain to you their "emergency policy" which is quite interesting in itself. If a maintenance problem isn't classified as an emergency (Fire or Flood) then it is put on a waiting list of things to do, or should I say things that never get done.

You can report a problem either by phone, or by stopping by the office. They will tell you that they are sending someone right over, but maintenance never comes. So you wait a few days, and days turn into weeks. You go back to the office and ask why maintenance hasn't been by, and they will say since it's not an emergency, that you have been put on a wait list.

So you wait, for things never to get fix. You peer out the window and watch the "busy" maintenance workers ride around aimlessly on golf carts without a care in the world. Busy, they are not. So if anything becomes broken, best learn to fix it yourself, or know someone who can. That is life at Spinnaker Cove Apartments.

So unless there is a FIRE or FLOOD good people, it is not an "emergency".

My dishwasher broke:
not an emergency, wash the dishes in the sink.

My washer broke:
not an emergency, go to the laundry mat.

My toilet is broke:
not an emergency, go use the bathroom outside

you get the point, now moving on.

PARKING:
No assigned parking here, which isn't that bad because everyone seems to be moving out, but you have suckers moving right back in, mostly military who are from out of state and haven't had a chance to really look around at other options. On the weekends if your not home around 8pm forget about finding somewhere to park. If there are no parking spaces, don't park on the side of the road, they will have you towed. Also it "kills the grass", nevermind how bad they let the apartments go, as long as the outside looks nice.

MASTER BEDROOM=FEAST or FAMINE:
When it's winter, it gets really cold in the bedroom, summer it is unbearably hot. Why' Because it's the way the AC/Heat systems are designed. Spinnaker Cove's solution to this is close your vents in the living room, so the air flow can get to the master bedroom. Isn't that nice, no matter what you do, your going to have a unbearable room.

SPIDERS/WASPS:
Don't like these little guys, you had better get use to them, because they will be your new friends. To this day at my new apartment I have my eyes constantly trained on the floor, looking for my little grass spider friends that use to bite me on a daily basis. I use to kill 2 to 3 a day, I've been bitten on my couch, chair, and in bed. And these bites hurt people, take my word for it.

HEATING:
My heating went out once, there was a little part that maintenance had to order to fix it, it took them over a month to get it so they said. In the meantime I had to use the emergency heat option to stay thawed. This skyrocketed my electric bill.

COOLING:
The Freon runs out every summer for the A/C, leaving good ol maintenance to fill'er back up again. Of course this isn't done in a day, it took 4 weeks and 3 days for them to get to refill my freon in the dead of summer.

FIRE CRACKER MAN:
Now this really isn't the Apartments fault but I imagine it has been reported to them by a number of residents and nothing was done about it. Fire Cracker Man would wait until 2 to 3am in the morning, let off firecrackers and run back into his apartment. Waking up many who had to go to work the next day. Fire Cracker Man was still going strong when I left back in 2005, I wonder if they ever caught that guy, or girl. I always assumed it was a guy but you never know.

THE WALLS:
Two big problems with the walls, first there isn't enough paint on them. Lean up or bump up against one and the paint come right off. Also they are extremely thin. You will have no private or romantic life at Spinnaker Cove without your neighbors knowing every little thing you are doing.

I guess I could add a few more things here and there, but I feel this is enough for the average reader to think twice about moving to this place. Any good review here, as far as I am concerned, is not written by a resident more so the management.
