I agree with others about the Manager ----. She is very rude and other tenants are right, she acts as though she is doing you a favor by letting you stay here. She has been very disrespectful to me and my roomate. Even my neighbors complain about her. At first I thought is was just me until I heard their complaints. The bugs are another issue. I was told that the exterminaor comes out every week but I haven't noticed a difference. My washer and dryer and dishwasher is old. My water in the shower only stays hot for about 10 minutes, which sucks when you've just come from working hard all day. I've never been the type to complain but when you pay over 1000 a month for rent, things should be right! I hope the managers change then maybe something will get done around here!

Is this a digruntled x-employee? It's funny that these things only happen when someone is fired or evicted. I think people should really consider the source when reading these reviews. Have you been evicted lately? I 've spent many nights racking my brain about who could be writing these reviews. I've actually lost sleep thinking about it. I take my job and people very seriuos. I've come to realize that It doesn't really matter. Usually if someone is unhappy I am aware of it and I have professionally resolved any matter that has been brought to my attention. I think you should have to have some type of credibility/proof or residency to get on here, How do you know these people actually live here? It's evident that just about anyone with an e-mail address can write a review so PLEASE please consider your sources. Who are these people? Are they disgruntled x-employees? Is is someone that has been evicted? The thing is and not only with this apartment complex but with most of the reviews on this site 98% are negative. The people that are happy (which there are alot of LONG term,happy, satisfied residents) don't normally write. Almost all of the reviews on this site are negative on all the complexes. For a very long time I took this site very personal because I love my job. I love people and I have never intentionally disrespected anyone so I have been very sensitive in regards to this site, But I've come to realize that I can't take it too seriuos. I mean the truth is... Who are these people and if they have an issue why don't I know about it? Why are they getting on the internet to write and not coming to myself or even better the management company and voice their opinions? It's cowardly or just not legitimate. I don't think I could have been employed here at this very complex for 5 years if it were legitimate. All I can say is that I'm truly sorry to whom ever is so angry for what ever reason. All I have ever done is my job to the best of my ability, And I will continue to do so because I have been very successful at doing just that.

---- the tenant is correct. This ex tenant had the same experience and I was not evicted. I recommend to anyone that I know, or find, that is apartment hunting that Spinnaker Cove is a very expensive tenement. Fix the apartments so that the tenants can live there comfortably and get a life.
When I lived there, I complained constantly. NOTHING was done until something had been complained about for MONTHS. My recommendation to any tenant that is having these problems is to get a hold of a copy of Virginia's landlord and tenant laws and file a lawsuit if necessary. ---- and Great Atlantic love to flout the law. My apartment was not even cleaned between the time the previous tenant moved out and I moved in.

I am a young professional doing some apartment hunting. I use the apartment ratings sites just to get a feel about the residents and staff. But of course, I never rely on the ratings alone. Anyone with common sense does not use the ratings site alone to pick a place to live. I'm only writing this review because I think it is really unprofessional for a property manager to be on this site bickering about what someone wrote about him or her. Now that is something that catches my attention and puts your property on the very bottom on my list.

I agree with the response above this one.
My husband and I were thinking of moving and I can honestly say that I was looking at these apartments. We are currently at Grafton Station and aren't too pleased with the $150 increase.
However, after seeing you bicker with the tenants, I have completely changed my mind about viewing Spinnaker Cove. 100% unprofessional. You should be trying to solve these problems instead of giving yourself credit - your tenants will do that for you if you do as you say.

I totally agree with the tenant. How childish is it that the manager has to try to justify herself. She is horrible and many people have agreed. Are we all crazy???? I think she needs to get off her high horse and realize she sucks as a manager and hopefully great atlantic will realize that and fire her ugly ass!!

unfortunately, this type of attitude goes all the way up the corporate ladder. i should know, i've been complaining ever since we moved in, about issues that the mgmt promised to fix, and even great atlantic's "mediator" won't let us out of our lease. They don't care that the staff isn't cleaning the apts between tenants, or (excuse my language) half-assing a job. jeez, we've got so many getto patch jobs, unpainted walls, carpet stains, bugs, grime, that we had to do our own spring cleaning. I've literally gone behind maintennance and re-did their job, cause they are so imcompetent. Then the mgmt had the nerve to complain about our apt not being "neat". lol she's two-faced and she proved it here. thanks, Gena!
