My name is Tracy Holt and I live in apt. 102 J windy cove.... not afraid to let ppl know who i am and what my problems are. My husband, my son, and I have lived here since november and I have had to call the health dept. 3 times. We had mice, our apt has flooded... bad, and the staff is rude. They are really nice until you come in with a complaint. The manager offered to let us out of our lease with no charge, but then changed her mind and said we can't move. We didn't ask to get out... she offered and then decided she was gonna go back on that so we're stuck in this hell hole. The only reason we moved here is because it was close to base and we could move in right away. We soon found out that the reason we could move in so quickly was because they hadn't cleaned or repaired anything. They ghetto rigged the apt but they don't actually repair the issues. They don't replace things either... I guess they don't wanna spend that kind of money. We get no respect and we are treated like ----. My husband and I used our own money to paint, stain the cabinets, and replace a light fixture because it was so disgusting. Also, they removed personal property from in front of our apt. Aparently we are allowed to have outdoor chairs in front of our apt, but when we didn't remove them for inspection they removed them for us. Why can't the inspectors see what it's really like to live here everyday. Also, they keep the outside up pretty nice, but leave the inside trashy as hell. It's horrible and I will not be entering into another lease with spinnaker cove or any other great atlantic property. I would suggest you keep looking elsewhere.

Call the VA State Corporation Commission and get a copy of the Landlord Tenant laws for Virginia. They are in violation of them and have been for years. Using the law when they are in blatant violation of it is a good way to break your lease without penalty. OR call the bar association's legal referral line and call an attorney.

I definately suggest that all residents that are unhappy to complain...not just to the manager, but to regional and if that doesn't work then go above him. Nobody has to live like this and nobody should have to pay to get out of that kind of a situation. If your military then contact the housing offices and try and have them taken off of rpp. They think that since they are sooo close to base ppl have to live here, but i would rather live an hour away. Maybe one day they will be forced to repair the problems or go out of business.

Glad I read the reviews, we are military new to the area and were thinking of moving to spinaker because of location. Nobody should live like that.

I know exactly what apartment you live in, thats the same one they tried to give me. I signed the intenet to lease last year but wasn't allowed to see the apartment because it "wasn't ready", so I based it on the model. The day I was able to pick up the keys my sponsor took me to the apartment and I was very upset. I tod the people at the leasing office that I no longer wanted that apartment and gave their key back. When I complained to the lady in the office (Gina is her name) she gave me nothing but attidude and said there was nothing wrong with the apartment. I still left. I lost out on the $100 and I was happy with my decision.

Thank you all for your response and thoughts of this place. I stop by today and sounded too good to be true. I will never put my family in this place and you are alright, just becuase they are close to base that we have no choice but to take it especially for the price. No thanks! Navy man w/ 2 todlers
