I have been here for a while and have not really had any problems until recently. I even wrote a good review a year or so ago and I do understand that the management can't control everything but I do believe that this place isn't safe for me or my family anymore. We already have plans to move. There are a lot of military that live here including myself. I know a lot of the other military residence and work with a few of them including my neighbor. Both of the guys I work with have had break ins. One happened last fall and one just a few weeks ago. Luckily nobody was injured and the jerks were scared off or ran away. The most recent break in resulted in my friends wife leaving their apartment with their son to go live with her parents until their lease expired. That's pretty sad. Last weekend, Apr. 4th '09 my Vehicle was stolen. Two days earlier my neighbors was stolen, they were parked round about the same parking spot(s). After my neighbors car was stolen I inquired about moving to on base housing with the military housing office. Sure enough two days later mine was stolen. This place is turning into the hood. I have had problems with noisy neighbors also, it's a constant stereo thump in the parking lot. I will never live in another apartment for the rest of my life. It's been tough to sleep after the local break ins and especially after having my car stolen last weekend. I get up and check the windows after every noise. This area should not have been rebuilt after the British burned it down.

Honestly crime here has been pretty rare over the years. This place has traditionally been pretty safe, but the recent issues have me a bit worried.

I lived here for 5 years I have never had any problems. i did hear though that with the economy being so bad that thngs were going to get worse. I believe it. I guess it's true what they say, crime doesn't discriminate. No matter where you live. my friend lives in a gated community right up the road and had her car broken in to also. let's pray that God watched over us.

last week the courtesy officers wifes car was broken into and many things stolen. Nobody is safe here. Also BEWARE TO ALL RESIDENCE: there is a tall black man knocking on doors asking for some jumper cables. He is a thief and is scoping out apartments trying to find an empty one. He walked right into my neighbors apartment last fall. The doors were unlocked and he made himself at home. He came by my place last week asking the usual question about jumper cables. I followed him and watched him leave through the hole in the fence by Mcdonalds (the hole that still hasnt been repaired in the 2 years I have lived here). It's an open invite for thieves to sneak through. The police notified me tonight that they found my stolen jeep in newport news at Oyster Point Place apartments. I'm sure that the thief is friends of a resident here.
