Repairs are sub-standard

Many many problems military get discounts including no deposits or pet fees the grounds look nice and from the first look appear normal. however after living here for half of a lease i find that they only put bandaids on there major maintance issues. my roof leaked and they lied about a roofer repairing it (as i was at home 24/7 to know), they simply spakled it. Third time is the charm and a roofer has since been here but not soon enough my bedroom was rearranged and my bed could not even be on the wall i wanted it to be on because the repair was not fixed, and when it would rain i had a bucket down to collect rain water. for the review of the person that lived here 5 years it was a guy no woman and he lived on the second floor which had i , i would not have had the roofing issues. i also complaned about the kitchen cabinets staying open they have attempted to repair them 4 or 5 times with magnets this is not working because they are warped or something i have little dogs this is a saftey issue, as the cabinets will open and close if you press them gently only to be reopened by my dog simply walking by it, that said i have two very small dogs and one did get traped. this is still not properly fixed. the molding around the front door keeps comming off, and the patio door gets stuck where even my husband has trouble opening it to come inside from outside---in fact maintence has been to my apartment and done work to my patio door 8 times so far it still is not fixed, and i was told to just get some wd40 and spray on it every now and then, well ive done that but an industrial grade and after 3months that was no longer working.
how can all the nails or screws be rusted' if you notice only about a third of the residents here have stuff out on there porch where they are actually using it. this also brings me to yet another issue- the managers have changed the mantaince stays the same, they promise to fix it and act like they are doing you a favor yet the problem is only temporarily fixed. our ac unit has been charged 8 times in 5 months, yet a contractor has "looked at it" just like the roof, the apartments are not big do your homework the neighbor hood isn't bad there is crime all over , however we have had lug nuts taken off our truck, seems stupid but it happend, another neigbor lost his tail gate hitch, and that was in the front of the comple x.
all the bicycles are broken, most of the pully weights are broken, they have an elipitcal but it doesn't turn on this equipment has been broken for 5 months, yet when you call them about the bike or elipitcal they act like they didn't know.
they do have a personal trainer that is free, they do not stock the ponds. recently they got a massage person and they have a half broken down taning bed- beward it doesn't evenly tan.
the walls seem thin, but my building is quite.
i have a neighbor that is moving in a few months so we will see.
my lease is up within the next 3 months and i do not plan to sign another one because maintence does not repair items properly.
all the ac units suck and our powerbills are 250-320, for 1000 square feet.
ask dominom power company.
if the maintence had done a better job i could over look some of the other stuff, but they do lie and i have caught them in lies.
and im sorry i just can't stand people lying to me.
they could have just said "its not in the budget, but if you wanna get someone you can" i feel raped because no one should have to pay so much for power because the ac unit needs to be replaced. Also the hot water takes a very long time to get to the showers like 7 minutes wide open, only 1000 square feet, i still dont understand that one, but the water is luke warm or so hot it burns you, that is a safety thing to but i have not complained about it because i dont' have small childeren and im worried id never get hot water if they turned thermostat down. alot of my other neigbors have similar maintence horror stories. and most others that i have known in the last year have not renewed there leases. If i hadn't experience maintance issues i would think it was great and renew my lease as some others have but majority is maintance doesn't really fix stuff they just put bandaids on it and do a temp fix to save them money--costing you (us) more.
parking is a problem if you have two vechiles no assigned parking.

i tell u it's disgusting being lied to, no one likes it. they get paid to lie to u. the "nice" staff i've seen go through all Great Atlantic properties all get fired, or "molded" eventually. we moved to va beach and our electric bill is the same for 2500 sq ft as it was for our 1000 sq ft apt at spinnaker-lol! plus our water is close to the same as well.
