I am a current resident of The Township. I have lived here nearly 6 months and every month that goes by gets a little worse. First of all, these partments are overpriced for what you end up getting. The "remodels" are extremely cheap and done with no care. The cabinets are uneven causing them to not shut fulling and they fall off all the time. The paint job is disgusting! There is lint and previous resident's body hair painted on the baseboards. There are even nails sticking out in odd places along basboards too, while outlet covers are put on crooked. I do not feel safe in the apartments because we receive numerous flyers on our doors from the management telling us of break-ins and vandelism within the community. There are Hampton police officers constantly patroling and creeping past the apartments. I have had strange men knock on my door at night on several occasions. It got so bad I considered buying a gun just to feel safe and able to protect myself (a young woman) and my toddler. There are contactors living here as mentioned in the previous posts. Whether they are illegal immigrants or not, it is unsettling to have to walk past them drinking a case of beer by the stairs just to get to my apartment. I had a serious roach problem also. I could not leave any food out in the kitchen (even when just preparing dinner) because as soon as I would turn my back they would be all over the food. This problem was addressed and the roaches did go away. The maintenance staff was careless when entering my apt, leaving muddy footprints all over the light carpets (which I had to clean!). The problems I reported for maintenance to fix took very long to resolve. They do not leave notices in your apartment when they have entered, so it is unclear as to when, and if, someone has been in the apartment. There are no trash recepticles in the rear of the complex so if you live back there you have to drive your smelly trash to the front of the complex to throw it away. Also, there is limited parking in the rear which is lessened even more by boats and trailers. Sometimes I am forced to park a distance from my building (b/c boats and trailers fill the close spots) in the back, where it is poorly lit. I do not feel safe parking at night in the dark and walking to my building with my small child. When I was touring the complex before I rented, I was told by the management that there was a boiler under the property and hence no need for individual water heaters. She assured me that this boiler would always provide me hot water at any time. LIE! Since I have lived here I have had numerous lukewarm showers and there have been numerous occasions where there has been no hot water at all. One time I was in the shower covered in soap and the water just cut off!! I have lived in the country and relied on well water, lived overseas in Germany and never have I ever had so many instances of lukewarm water and zero hot water in my life! And did I mention that I pay through the ass for the water/gas to heat the water. There is a combination bill that everyone receives in addition to their rent. It covers the water, gas, "pest control", landscaping, sewer, trash, and an admin fee. Before moving in I was told this bill normally ran about $60 a month. What a LIE! It costs in upwards up $85!! So go ahead and add that to the overpriced rent and the Township is making out like a bandit with my hard earned money. Oh yes, the office staff....I do not even want to talk about them much because I can feel my blood pressure rising. ------, the manager, is a conartist. Apparently she is lacking brain power too because she employs ------- who is possibly mildly retarded. ------- does not know which way is up, so do not bother asking her any questions or trying to resolve a conflict. Oh and did I mention just about every time I have been into the office the only person there is -------!! They are letting their company be run by idiots. These office employees will try to scam you for your money at every instance they can. SO please BEWARE....

Very well put! Everything you said was the honest truth, something need's to be done or the unprofessional staff should loose their jobs. I'm considering a law suite against them if anyone else would like to get in on it after all we've paid and put up with.

OMG...Everything you said is so true, I have had the same exact problems and I have gone to the office and they talk to me like Im the one having problems and they dont understand what the problem is. I had a roach problem and I cant count how many times they had to come TREAT the problem so they say.

You are absolutely correct! I am counting down the days until my lease is through! My husband and I have had a terrible experience and we have only lived here 6 months! These apartments are certainly not worth the pay!
