Ok, honestly, this is not the worst place around. I used to manage a few apartment communities in my hometown, and they were way worse. I moved in around the end of 2008 and I'm still living here now. I had big issues with my neighbor and the police had to get involved more than once, so the office offered me the option to transfer to another building. Since I've transferred, I haven't had any problems and my new apartment is much better than the first one.

With that being said, you need to remember that this is Hampton. Crime is common around here, ask any Hampton City cop. There have been a few robberies and break ins around here, but the office informs the residents. If you're afraid to be here alone, either don't live in Hampton, or get a gun. Since getting away from my previous neighbor, I haven't been "afraid" here. Just pay attention in the parking lot at night - as you should in ANY dark parking lot at night. The clubhouse renovations are really nice, they're currently installing more lighting around the parking lots, my A/C hasn't had any problems, and maintenance is always prompt in answering my requests. And by the way, they DO leave documentation that they've been there.

However, it's not perfect. I feel that for the size and location of these apartments that they are overpriced, but I suck it up and pay because it's better than living somewhere cheaper in Hampton and getting stabbed or shot. The apartment renovations are pretty cheaply done, the fronts of the drawers fall off, the carpet is cheap, the tubs make weird creaky noises when you shower because they're not completely level, the cabinet doors don't hang straight, etc. But people, this is an apartment in Hampton! You won't be living here forever, you don't own it, and it could be a lot worse. Get some super glue for the falling off drawer fronts, get more screws for the uneven doors, and ignore the carpet.

Oh yeah, and I've never had a bug problem or anything else. It's really quiet where I am, even on weekend nights.
