Welcome to the Ghetto

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2007
Moved out of complex once new management took over. It seemed as if they didn't screen anyone (credit check / police records). I had to call the cops several times because of the neighbors below me were always beating the crap out of each other. Complained to the office and they said the manager will contact me(never happened).
Had to make my own repairs to the sink, toilet, and air conditioner. I was put on waiitng list each time for these items, the guy came over only for the A/C and didnt know how to fix it. Promised a bigger A/C unit for the next summer(never happened).
When I moved out, they did inspection with me there. The manager conducting the inspection found a crumb on top of the stove light, charged me $60.00. Paid final bill before receiving the bill. What a MISTAKE!! They said I never paid and sent the information to a collections agency. I sent a receipt and processed check that Colonial deposited into their bank to the collection agency. Collection agency dismissed their nonpayment claim and said this is not the first time this has happened.
Would not recommend this place to anyone. Neighbors are inconsiderate. Not many of the neighbors will take their trash to the dumpster(which is only 100 feet away). Most of the neighbors will keep their trash by their front door or on their porch.
I was embarrased to bring family or friends to my apartment.
The only positives are ample parking( I had multiple cars) and they allow pets.
