Horrible place to live

Forget about ever finding a parking space after 10pm anywhere near your apartment on any night of the week. Or at any other point of day. Parties are ridiculous every night of the week and on weekends expect your floor or wall to be vibrating well into the night even after the cops come to cite your neighbors with a noise violation. Plus you door will get egged and your stairs will get covered in puke and other unknnown substances. There will be people banging on your door at 4am thinking it's someone else's place. The grounds are always trashy and the dumpsters overflow and the office wants us to pay for them to clean it up because they don't get trash services often enough. They stick you with ridiculous charges for repairs you didn't ask for, but will never fix anything you have asked to be fixed. The washer has always flooded the floor on the large cycle for at least the last 3 years. Their advice: don't use the large cycle. Well I hope when new tenents move in next year they flood the place so bad that the subflooring has to be replaced (not that they'd fix it). There's construction going on next to Ashby, they start around 5am so forget sleep. (of course not management's fault, but not really a highlight of living here) The lighting is terrible outside. It's so dim that when coming home at night on the weekends you can't see all the drunk people in the middle of the road. I guess they want someone to get hit. Half the street lights are out most of the time. The management has no tolerance for any complaints and will not hesitate to lie to people just to get them to sign a lease. One of my roommates is a grad student and knew nothing of the apartments here and was told by the management that this was a nice quiet place to live so she signed a lease. Blatantly lying since they advertise as the place to come party. They office will also leave insulting voicemails calling the residents permiscuous drunks that waste all their money on kegs. The worst is when the maintenence people do come to do "checks" they don't knock and will come right in with or without someone there. These guys are so shady that I feel like I should lock my money or anything valuable away. And if you happen to stay over the summer the painting and other repair type people will come in while you're in the shower, never knocking or announcing themselves. The staff is terrible, just a bunch of mean liars. The place is noisy, there's nowhere to park, nothing will ever get fixed, you get stuck with bogus fees and charges, the grounds are always trashed, it's embarassing to bring parents here, and the safety is poor because there's little lighting and the cops are scared to come here.
Yes I was here for two years, but the first year was just bareable enough to not go through the hassle of moving again, but looking back last year was just as bad and I can't imagine what I was thinking to stay here again. I tell everyone I can never to live here.
