I am a transfer student, so when I transferred to JMU, I wasn't sure where to live. So I picked the Commons, and I have regretted it ever since. Where to begin'

It's very loud and crazy on weekends, and a lot of times on schoolnights. The appliances are very old and dated. We moved into the apartment with our screen door detatched, a broken icemaker, and peeling linoleum. Our door, while shut, would let in light, and later in the summer, lots and lots of bugs. Bugs were everywhere! The bathtub/shower would have this stuff come out of the wall when the water was running-- it was absolutely disgusting! Parking is a NIGHTMARE. If you ever came home after 9 pm, all the parking spots were taken and you'd have to park far away from your apartment. I thought this was very dangerous considering I am a female and would have to walk alone in the dark to my apartment. Also, we lived on the first floor, and people stole our furniture off our patio and threw things in our patio including shattered beer bottles, cigarrette butts, even vomit! It was the most disgusting experience of my life. The maintenence staff takes FOREVER to fix things, and when people would come to fix things, they would just bust open your door and come in... nevermind if you're naked in the shower!

This was the worst living experience of my life. I certainly DO NOT suggest living here. It's not worth the money!
