Hunters Ridge might be known as the ghetto of JMU but dont let that dissuade you. A townhouse in HR is the best for your money if you are strapped for cash. I lived there for two years and believe it or not had nothing but positive experiences. We paid only $215 a month for two separate levels. Each level included its own fridge and microwave. Also, this place was a great place for parties-HR had security officers, but they were cool as long as nothing got out of hand. Also, maintenance was top notch. A pipe busted once (dont know how) and they were there that day with six guys. They completed a tough task and even called shampooers to clean the carpet they had dirtied. Overall, I recommend this spot for anybody who is going to college on their own.
