I lived in South View for two years, and never really had any problems. But I moved out in August and have yet to receive a refund for my security deposit (it is now November). I have called numerous times, asking to speak to the property manager, and each time, he's in a meeting, or on the phone, or unavailable. He hasn't called me back to tell me what's going on or to give any indication that he's interested in solving the problem. I feel that the management doesn't really care about their residents, as long as they pay their rent.

You are legally entitled to your security deposit within 45 days after your lease expires according to the Virginia Landlord and Tenant Act. Threaten to press charges.
