When I moved into these apartments, there had been no cleaning done to it, it was filthy. We had a serious insect problem, any kind of bug you can think of, we had it. The maintenance charged for EVERYTHING. The office staff were not very friendly, or helpful. My car was dinged numerous times, as well as the sideview mirror was ripped off. Overall, these apartments are horrible; they're run down, dirty, and the management is only out for your money. I know there aren't too many apartment choices for JMUers, but I would try to stay away from any of the Southview owned apartments (i.e. Southview, Stonegate, and The Commons).

I definetly agree with the last comment. Ever since the apartments were taken over by college park, they are completely a mess. They lost financial records, wouldn't return phone calls and wouldnt fix someone's collapsed roof this year. These apartments were poorly made and are falling apart. Lisa Kerley, the current property manager, could care less that things aren't running smoothly and simply cares about getting paid. They have alot of lawsuits going their way so trust me, stay away from these apartments. They may be cheaper rent, but you'll end up paying more in fees and repairs that are from general use. STAY FAR AWAY FROM ANY COLLEGE PARK APARTMENT
