I'm a Black female who has had many dealings with the office. When I pay my rent, pick up packages, and put in maintenance requests I am always dealt with in a warm, friendly manner. I did have to deal with the rent manager when I was a couple of days late with my rent one month. She waived my late fee but did require that my payment be in a certified check. I was very appreciative since the late fee is a whopping 10% of my rent. However, it was my error and I can appreciate the rules. I have been in the business center when an unruly resident, a white male by the way, came in and he was told firmly that his late payment must include the late fee because it had been a recurring problem. He left angry but the office was enforcing the same rules they had with me. I believe, and have witnessed, that everyone is treated fairly here. If management did discriminate the complex wouldn't be as diverse as it is.
