This was the first apartment I had ever lived in. It was not fun walking up 3 flights of stairs everyday, but other than that, I don't really have any complaints. The only reason I moved was because my financial situation changed. The pidgeon droppings were gross, as were people who don't clean up after their pets in the grass. I couldn't hear my neighbors, if I had any. I was there for a year and didn't meet anyone. The staff were helpful, in my opinion. The air conditioning went out while I was there. The maintenance staff worked extremely hard to fix/replace them. The gentleman even went into our apartment once it was fixed to turn up the a/c so it would cool down. I was lucky in that my parents lived nearby, so I didn't have to suffer. The kitchen leaves something to be desired, especially for someone who liked to cook, but it was adequate. There was adequate parking. I was a little uneasy the nights I had class and was walking back to my building at 10pm. (Who wouldn't be'!'!)

Oh yeah, and I did get a wonderful post-it note from a tenant on my vehicle when I was moving my stuff out one night. (I did it a little at a time during my last month.) I realize I was parked by the "no parking" sign in the garage area. However, there were no parking spots in front of my building and I had to move my stuff from the 4th floor. I chose not to use my hazards, because it was dark and I didn't want the flashing lights to disturb anyone. Also, I was not blocking any of the garages. So, thanks to that jerk of a tenant!

All in all though, it was a satisfactory experience. If it wasn't for the small kicthen, I would consider moving back there again.

I just renewed my lease and I still don't know anyone other than the maintenance guys here. It is not quite the social scene I thought it would be.

Move out from Ashford Meadows ASAP. All the hidden fees will blow you away. Did any one from the leasing office told you about life of your carpet? Yes, they will hold your security deposit with additional bill for every single penny that they gave you as discount rate. Watch out! Move out! Ashford Meadows is full of lie!
