I'll try to be fair, many complaints from previous posters seem really petty. Pro/Con observations, in no particular order
I've lived in MANY apartments. This was definitely the nicest one. Well-maintained, spacious, and no pest or animal problems at all. There is enough parking (for now). It gets tight after the 9 to fivers get back though. Also, the spaces are real tight, so if you have anything bigger than a compact, expect dings and scratches on your car.
The appliances for the most part worked just fine. Our dishwasher flooded a couple times, but no hiccups since then. Called the office, they sent someone over who DIDN'T fix it because they needed to see it AFTER it flooded to see where it stopped up. But the guy was full of it, he just didn't want to fix it. It kind of fixed itself, I was disappointed in them. To be fair though, the bathtub faucet handle broke, and they came and replaced it the next day.
Dishwasher, W D, and refrigerator are LOUD. I have to really crank the tv to hear over them at night. Kind of annoying.
Apartments are near many things. Close to stores, highways, offices. Great location. LOTS of illegals in Herndon though. And i mean LOTS. If that makes you uncomfortable, don't come here.
Place is not ghetto. Safety isn't an issue.
Trash situation is terrible. Overflows regularly, and people just toss their garbage bags all over the dumpster area. I've never seen anything like it.
The overhead apartments are loud. I truly, deeply, passionately hate the dwellers above us. Not only do they stomp around, jump, drop things constantly, they also have a freaking TREADMILL. Instead of using the ones in the clubhouse, she runs around in a fourth-floor apartment on a treadmill. As I'm writing this, the person in question is perhaps throwing a cinderblock into the floor or something. I've never had neighbors this rude, stupid, ignorant, loud, and obnoxious.
I can't let that factor in though. I could have easily drawn nice neighbors that are as quiet as churchmice. It's the luck of the draw. Thankfully, we're moving away.
Also, the rent went up $200 on us. Beware of "specials." After the first year, they rip the price back up over market value, and you're stuck. Or you have to move, like we do.

You must know someone in the lease office or you're one of the girl who works there. The review you did was not even close to real. You're such a nice person. Ashford Meadows will bill you on every single item such as nail holes & carpet replacement. They will bit you worse than any of the credit card company out there. Watch out for the mail.
