Yes, the price is great and the utilities are included which makes the deal even sweeter, but at the end you will have to pay more than you bargained for financially and emotionally. To begin with, this place is crawling with bedbugs and cockroaches. Although, they treat the apartments, the critters are everywhere! You can t sleep at night because they are biting and during the day your skit itches terribly! On a daily basis, you will find mattresses, sofas, etc teeming with bedbugs by the dumpsters of people that left the apartments and had to leave all their furniture behind because it was so infested. I myself had to throw away my mattresses and sofas. No matter how much roach killer you spray around in your apartments, the cockroaches walk up and down the walls outside and inside. Besides this, the neighbors are noisy and dirty. I lived in the 3rd floor and our neighbors upstairs had no consideration whatsoever that there was a family living beneath them. Additionally, our neighbors beneath us had their own disco in their apartment playing loud music into the night with drunken people peeing on the bushes. The walls are so thin, that we could hear the vibration of the cell phone of the person next door. The hallway doors often had graffiti with gang insignias. It s the worst place I ve lived in. I was initially drawn to the community because it was so close to my job and they had recently renovated the apartments, but it s truly not worth it. Furthermore, it s not worth any savings you might you think be getting for the price. All your savings will go in anti-itch cream, roach bait, coffee for your sleep deprived body and new furniture when you move. For your sake and the sake of your family, stay away from Berkdale apartments.
