All in all- pretty decent

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I've lived at Dulles Greene since June of '05. I signed a yr lease, so I'll be moving in a few months. However, I've since decided to get a roomate and we have to move closer to the D.C metro area for her job. If that weren't the case, I would seriously consider renewing my lease.
However, in the beginning, I was very unhappy. I had parked in a visitor's space with a company rental car only to have it towed. I went to the office with pictures of the spot clearly marked and they said that they no longer considered it a valid spot because it was beside a construction area. They claimed that they didn't have to notify residents when they changed their parking policy. Ummm...that's messed up.
BUT since then, I've been pleased. My apartment has great new ammenities, is clean, spacious, safe, very well lit, and the few times that I've had to call maintenence about the garbage disposal or a clogged sink, they've fixed it within 24-hours of the request. The grounds are well-kept, it's a very quiet complex, and has townhomes mixed in so it feels more like a neighborhood. I also think it's actually a value for the money. My boyfriend and I signed a lease under a summer special that took the rent down from $1225 to $1065- which was barely $75 more a month than the other 3 apartments we looked at that weren't nearly as nice and further out (Leesburg and Centreville). Now that I'm having to look at apartments with my upcoming roomate, I can appreciate the value at Dulles Greene even more. So while I'm surprised to say this, I would recommend Dulles Greene. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that visitor parking is horrible. Aside from that, it's worth it.
