My wife and I moved in here in March of '06 as our first living space together. At first we were delighted by this place and it's relatively clean environment, but as time draws on, we are again and again simply astunded at this operation they call an apartment complex.

One reviewer here recommended you take your lease to a lawyer before signing. I would HIGHLY recommend this. They have changed policies several times without notifying us, and recently that had a horrible effect on us.

Parking is absolutely terrible. They towed a motorcycle owned by friend of mine who rightly assumed that he had to park in designated "motorcycle only" parking spot. Unfortunealy, they came through with a tow truck and took it, assuming he was a resident without a parking sticker. Cars do not fare much better. There is usually no available vistor parking at nights, so forget about hosting friends.

Maintainence has been rude every time we've called about a leak in our ceiling. They've come four times and still haven't fixed it. Heck, we're doing them a favor by letting them know before the thing collapses.

Managment staff clearly feels they have better things to do than help residents solve problems. When we casually mentioned we were thinking about moving when our lease is up, their whole attitude changed to being borderline hostile.

In a nutshell: FInd somewhere else. Dulles Greene has one of the worst ratings on this website, and there's a reason for that. STAY AWAY. Find someplace better.

-Dulles Greene Management Dear Resident, I am sorry your stay with us has not met your expectations. I would like to take a moment to respond to your comments and concerns regarding Dulles Greene. We always recommend to all of our residents to read their leases thoroughly before they move in and offer every resident the chance to have a staff member sit down with you to review it as well. We do follow our lease agreement strictly as it is the legal binding contract that governs our actions and the actions of our residents while they make a home with us. It is the only way for us to remain objective in managing the day-to-day operations of the community and to treat everyone equally in every matter. If you would like to have someone sit down and thoroughly go over the lease with you, the property manager would be more than willing to take the time to do that with you if you let us know. As for parking, again, as I've listed many times here on apartment ratings, we live in Northern Virginia and parking is limited here in the community. We do are best to ensure our residents get first choice with parking. Visitors can either park in visitor's parking, in off-site parking on Dulles Greene circle which is not an area that is towed OR you may stop in at the leasing office and sign out a pass good for up to 5 days (1 per resident, only 26 are given out at a time on a rolling basis) that will allow your visitor to park in resident's parking. We do our best to accommodate everyone but, unfortunately, parking is tight no matter what we do. We did finish building 30 additional spots in February 2006 to address the issue as best as we could. Please contact the property manager at the office if you have any further questions or concerns about parking within the community. I am sorry also that you feel maintenance has not responded to the issues in your apartment adequately. We do have an assistant manager who handles all work order issues on the property. Please contact the assistant manager if a maintenance repair is not handled promptly within 24 hours. I wish you the best and hope you continue to stay with us.
