I've lived at Dulles Green for about 5 years now. I'll say that the first year was alright, the place seemed clean enough and the tennants living around me were friendly and about my age.

Last month I arrived home from work about 7AM to find it was raining inside my apartment. Apparently the sprinkler system in the apartment above mine burst and flooded my apartment with 500 - 1000 gallons of water before the fire department could shut it off. Dulles Green management offered me a paltry $150 for all of my troubles after arguing with them over whether this was truly an "act of God" or if it was due to them not maintaining their pipe insulation against cold weather.

Cleaning crews tore out the padding from underneath the (now soaked and stinking) carpet and replaced it in about 6 days. Took them about a week to dry the apartment using industrial fans & dehumidifiers (which increased our electric bill for month from $120 for Feb last year to $350 this year). After this, they put in new padding and put the same, stinking - stained carpet back down. I asked them if they could put us up anywhere since we couldn't sleep in an apartment that reeked of milldew, and had a humid swamp-like feel. They allowed me the use of a rental apartment for a couple of days and reminded me that they were doing me a favor by allowing me to use a temporary apartment without charge (nevermind the fact that I would have MUCh rather been sleeping in my own bed). In any case, we have been going back and forth with them for some time now. The management does not communicate with the repair people they use, so often neither knows what the other is doing. Management decided my apartment was repaired, dry and could be used in late February. Unfortunately for them, the apartment ceiling was still wet and leaking water.

We went and talked to them last week and told them that the apartment STILL has not been dried fully and is humid / milldewed still. After yet another walk through (when we weren't home) they finally came to the realization that we should not be living there (shocking) and said we should move to another apartment. They gave us a couple of apartments to look at, but would not show us any of them because they had equipment in them and were not ready (eerily similary to our own apartment that still had fans and a dehumidifier in it which we've been staying in). After our last talk with management where we informed them that the dehumidifer that was in our apartment was broken and had an error displayed on it, they removed all equipment from the apartment and have not been back or spoken to us.

Needless to say, this is the worst place I have ever lived. The management has no interpersonal skills, is accusatory and unprofessional. We have dealt with the regional management who was helpful at first after extensive argument - but now is COMPLETELY unresponsive to multiple contact attempts.

AVOID Dulles Green like the plague.

My sentiments exactly! This place is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! And MANAGEMENT, what management? The assistant manager once called me a liar, they lost my rent check not once but twice, put my personal mail on my neighbors door then gave me attitude when I approached them after getting out of the hospital about the issue. When contacted yesterday, the Property Manager when asked stated there is no Corporate Office, I'm It! However, I was able to find the information for the Corporate Office and I contacted them this morning, first thing and someone is looking into my issue. I am willing to PUT TOGETHER A PETITION TO HAVE EVERYONE IN THE LEASING OFFICE TERMINATED, is anyone with me? - IF ANYONE IS WILLING TO JOIN ME, I SAY, LETS DO IT! Someone recently knocked on my door and asked me about signing a petition but I was hesitant, however, I am no longer hesitant, so if that person reads this, please knock on my door again!

Thanks for reading, Sunnie
