Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007
I'll just list my experience and you can decide for yourself!
We've lived here for almost 2 years now, there are a long list of things to complain about if you sit and think about it. Overall though, it hasn't made me take up the bottle or want to move in the middle of the night.
When we first came here, we had a mix up with apartments, they told me I had a choice of two. But not really, cause one was already rented! So I had set up all the utilities and you know how much fun that is, it was discovered by the other tenant trying to set up their stuff. SO they made us take the other apartment, because we signed up second. We got a few of the fee's waived so they resolved it pretty well. This was after talking with the manager though. I do advise you to pretty much skip the staff, there's one in particular who really shouldnt be working with the public. I dont think she's trying to be mean or rude, she's just is.
Some cons to the insides of the apartments, the crown molding is there but kinda half assed. The closet space is only so/so, there are no linen closets to speak of in my layout. The appliances are one's that I've only ever seen in cheap mobile homes (so much for luxury!) mine are made by Hotpoint. My garbage disposal and washer are in good working order but can bring babes to tears and dogs to howl they are so loud.
If you didnt know it, in that wooded looking area there is a rock quarry and they blast during the day. Dust outside is kinda thick and things settle a lot, meaning doors, cabinets dont close well. My grandmother owned and operated a rock quarry for most of her adult life, and built her house on the property out of stone for more than one reason :)
Finally I will harp on parking in my list of cons. This seems to have gotten out of hand, used to be you couldn't find a space at 5:30. Now they've hired a towing company (who are out for blood) who tow at the slightest hint of incompliance without question. The visitor parking was confusing and they've changed it several times without notice (why I my visitors car got towed). Most of the time we park guests in the "shuttle lot" (or we like to refer to it as parking in Guam) on the outside of the community nearest the toll road. We kind of joke about it, but it will be nice to not worry about visitor parking somewhere else.
What I like and/or don't mind. The maintenance staff are pretty decent, they usually get things fixed the first time. I've had to call for repairs about a dozen times though after thinking about it, way more than other places I've been at.
I like the layouts and they are very open, it seems like more space than you really have. It's one of the reasons we moved here. The pool is decent, although poorly managed this last season and closed a weekend or two early.
The sound isnt too bad, I hear pipes and you can hear the shower upstairs if nothing is on in your house.
The landscaping is out of this world, I dare say that's where half of my rent goes. If you love gardens, flowers, or mulch you must move here. It's obscene but never fails to wow my guests into thinking this place rocks. Hmm wonder if that's intentional ;) SEk1KnECheF1ATXbXtrZ
