The good, bad & ugly

I agree with the other posts about the staff, though my leasing agent "Star" is very nice. First with the pros: good location, decent size for the price, nice walking trail, fun June social, and newer construction; the cons (won't list them all!): not luxury by any means - look at the cheap heating/cooling interface. I had to have my disposal fixed twice; my dishwasher often backs up into my sink; loud refrigerator; cheap washer/dryer; and inability to access the mechanicals closet. The staff can't be super personal b/c this is a city folks, not a cozy complex. I have had some of my complaints handled (squeaky wheel), such as the trash trucks arriving at 5:30 AM during the week. The outside doors pretty much need to be slammed shut which causes a lot of noise and shakes the walls. And while I've found the outside windows to keep the sound out, the interior is not built as sturdy. I'm able to hear people from pretty much all sides. I even hear the water running and kitchen cabinet doors being slammed. (BTW, I live on the 3rd floor of 4). Parking has been an issue only a couple of times but my parents definitely don't like to visit me.
Lastly, when I went to resign my lease last year, I was forced into 13 months b/c they had already filled their 12-month renewal quota. What kinda crock is that' Also, my rent increased by $90 (or 8%). These are the some of the reasons that I'm looking to move.
