Pros:
-high ceilings
-nice layouts
-clubhouse (weight room, pool, tennis courts, etc) is a great facility
-crown molding adds a nice touch
-very quiet, rarely hear neighbors (or even see them!)
-safe environment compromised of young professionals and families
-no problems w/management and staff (an employee helped me get my car out of the ice last year!)
-maintenance is QUICK! Submitted problem one night and they came the next day.
-love the full size washer/dryer and gas stove
-almost no problems with bugs. In warmer weather we had a couple ant problems that were fixed very quickly by spraying Raid around the door.
Cons:
-PARKING PARKING PARKING. I always get a spot close to my apt - that is not the problem. The problem is when you want to invite people over. There is a lot on the side of our apt that is only ever used by about 3 cars and I made the mistake of telling a friend to park over there if there weren't any visitor spots. Well she got towed and we split the $150 bill. STUPID! It's not like she was taking up someone else's really important spot. Visitors basically have to park across the street in a gravel area or at the 3rd entrance (closest to 28)
-if convenience is an issue for you, there is a 7-11 within walking distance but there is no sidewalk so you kinda just have to risk your life if you need to run down there to get something.
-the gates are purely decoration. They don't work all the time, and it's really annoying when they open JUST wide enough for your car to get through while you hope to death your car will not get scratched up. The callbox is impossible to read, and it doesn't even call up to our apt anyway. We could bring this up to the leasing office but we don't really care enough.
-EDIT: One tiny piece of our blinds was bent and apparently it looked "unsightly" so we are going to be charged for the replacement. Maintenance didn't come when the letter said they would. I don't get why they can't deal with it for 4 more months and just take it out of our deposit when we move out!
We've dealt with the cons and enjoy the pros of this place for 2 years. We've decided to buy a home in the summer of 2009 and we are going to downsize to a smaller/cheaper apt when our lease is up in June. If we didn't have that goal in mind, we'd probably stay here another year.

I noticed that you mentioned that the maintenance came to your resque within 24 hours. Too bad that maint. team is not still there.
