UPDATE 12/2/2008: The one consistent thing about this place is the maintenance. They are on top of their game and I hope they are paid as well as they work.
Summer electric bill: $110
Winter electric bill: $60
Summer Gas Bill: $20-$30
Winter Gas Bill: $70
Cox HDTV DVR/5Meg (but pulling 20Megs down! and 2Megs up!) internet: $126.

My 4th floor apartment is nice, but don't recommend for anyone over 25 years old. It's a good workout. The apartment is 1070 sq. ft, fireplace, vaulted ceilings. It was very clean and presentable and I've seen more expensive apartments that were run down. I pay $1267/month including my $25/month pet fee. I actually talked them down a hundred and then got an incentive of $313 from what was originally written on the paper. I paid almost $1400 to move in on July 15. It changes so often that you can come in the tomorrow to a different price if you don't like what you see today. Government contractors get a discount through the special offers link on the webpage...ask them about it. $300 off move in costs.
Maintenance is awesome! I put in a request on the portal website and 2 days later it was fixed and they even called before they came. Must learn spanish though...
Parking is bad, but not terrible. Don't plan on coming back on a Friday night if you leave. Great areas to go running, inside and outside the gate.
Overall, If it's just you or 2 people who sleep in the same bed, the biltmore is fine. No need for 2 bedroom/2 bath. The "den" in my place is 9ft. x 12ft. = kids room or office. Don't get ripped off if you move here...none of these apartments are really worth any more than $1500 and you'd be crazy to spend more than that. HAGGLE with them!

The maintenance at Dulles Greene sucks. It doesn't help them that everything in the apartment breaks because they use cheap crap. It took them 10 days to fix my oven. It wasen't that they were waiting for a part, it took them that long just to come out to look at it. I had to call three times to get them out to fix it.

Wow, really? I had an issue with my toilet, and the day after I submitted my request they had fixed it. Sucks for you. Oh, and to the person who submitted this review, did they really lower your lease after you haggled with them? I tried that a year ago when it was time to renew and they told me that they don't negotiate. Maybe they've changed their policy?

I didn't renew, it was my initial application that I haggled with them. They were low on renters and so it meant that they needed me and I said "I don't think I can do the price you are requesting, but I can give you $X and we went back and forth from there. I know I still got ripped off, but from what I hear, I pay the lowest rent of the 5 people I talked to with the same apartment style.
